Asset Plus- Quality Assurance for Managers/Supervisors Half day 9.15am-1pm on Teams

A half day course focusing on fast & effective quality assurance of AssetPlus Stages. Transitional Safeguarding in Youth Justice For Practitioners (Half day 9.15am-1pm on Teams)

A half day course exploring how to ensure best practice for youth justice practictioners. The course will cover • Understand what the concept of Transitional Safeguarding (TS) is, and what it is not, • Draw on research, practice and expertise from lived experience to understand why TS is needed • Deepen understanding of TS as an issue of whole-system change, and systems leadership • Hear how some local areas are trying to develop a Transitional Safeguarding response • Review how TS change your own practice when supporting young people in the justice system Delivered by National Childrens Bureau, Research in Practice Team.

AIM3 for Supervisors Supervising Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) Practice- a 2 day course (On Teams)

A 2 day course targeted at experienced professionals who are supervising staff who are working with children and young people with harmful sexual behaviours (HSB). Participants should have a good understanding of harmful sexual behaviours, either gained through attendance at AIM3 assessment model training or through relevant practice experience. By the end of the workshop participants will • Have an overview of supervision, it’s purpose and importance • Understand factors which are relevant to HSB assessment and intervention in relation to AIM3 assessment and interventions • Learn the importance of critically reflective supervision and developing staff resilience and supporting staff welfare • Have the opportunity to rehearse core supervisory skills in relation to HSB. Due to the subject matter, a safe space in which to undertake this training with minimal interruptions, where possible, is required. This is pertinent to those working from home, particularly with children present. Delivered by Karen Martin
