Unconscious Bias in Youth Justice (IN PERSON. FULL DAY)

This course will

·        Examine the reasons & evidence-based research

·        Support practitioners to identify their own UB, associated triggers and drivers

·        Develop strategies and practical steps towards better and bias-free decision-making processes

·        Inform effective practice

·        Apply bias-reducing strategies to practical tasks such as writing PSRs and  risk assessments

·        Develop a greater sense of self-awareness  in working with  young people within the YJS
