Learning Outcomes.

Understanding the impact of early relational trauma and ‘adverse childhood experiences’ on young people
Experiences and impact of trauma for young people within the youth justice system.Overview of models and strategies for working in a trauma-informed and responsive way (e.g. Trauma Recovery Model).Understand the impact of working with trauma on the self and team and organisation (e.g. ‘vicarious’ and/or ‘secondary’ trauma). Understanding of how to apply knowledge of the impact of trauma into everyday practice, including assessments, reports and interventions.
