The course will cover

• how safety building approaches fit within the context of Child First and Trauma Informed Practice
• how they differ from Risk Management approaches
• safety concerns that can arise for children, victims and the community
• effective interventions in YJS for building safety for each of the three groups
• identifying gaps in provision and potential partners to support safety building.
• effective, child friendly methods for co-producing safety plans with young people.
